Who are we anyway?

According to the Israeli Equal Rights Commission for People with Disabilities and Accessibility in Israel, every fifth person has a disability. Add family members to this figure and we have a community!

Who am I?

My name is Hofit Amir Azaria. As a social activist and a parent of a child with special needs, a natural connection was created out of a common desire to get to know special families as well as a common longing for quality care for individuals with special needs.

Nice to meet you!

I am excited to share with you a social enterprise called ‘Natural – To Be Me‘ which I’m establishing and is dear to my heart. Its purpose is to integrate special needs individuals in their own community as well as  connecting people to nature and to one another. A social enterprise that deals with belonging, independence, inclusion and solidarity for the human spectrum and is an asset for personal and social development.

Natural – To Be Me‘ creates inclusive comminutes using local community gardens via social leisure activities as a therapeutic tool for special needs children, teenagers and young adults.

‘Natural – To Be Me’ assists in removing barriers of shame, helping to eradicate the stigma that exists with special needs individuals in order to become a more inclusive, solidary and accepting society, which manages to integrate individuals with a variety of abilities and skills.
